New line of scarves, coming soon.

Well I got another Yummies scarf up for sale on ETSY. Its a salad scarf. See above. Next, I am am starting on a new line of scarves. I love color, and different colors mean things to people. I am also a big movie buff. So the next few scarves you will see, will be inspired by movies and colors. I am pretty excited about them. Still working on a name for them though....

Got the first 3 of the Yummies scaves up for sale on ETSY. Curled up in my armchair making the 4rth one! Had a lot of fun making these. Food, fun colors, and just being myself. I hope you guys love them, as much as I did making them.

Store re-opened

Well the move got pushed back a little, so I re-opened the store. I will close it again closer to the actual move. Been working on some more neckwarmers for the store. I hope you guys enjoy the new things I put in, here shortly. Been missing my crochet hooks, the kids are better, finally. I had a cold as well, eh it seems they take forever to get rid of. Been watching movies and curled up on the couch. Working on a rainbow ripple crochet blanket for my son, I hope he likes it.

Busy as a bee

Hello again, everyone. I have been so busy all this time. Been getting ready for the move, and the kids and me have had colds. Plus tonight and tomorrow we are supposed to have a snow storm! Just been swamped. Been working on some cool and cute new crochet ideas, taking the food idea I had and going to make it a reality! Hopefully, I will remember to keep this updated more.

Been away from here for a bit.....

Well I have been pretty busy with home stuff lately. Kids have been sick, I got sick, then the kids got sick again. We are moving in about 2 months, and just been busy in general. We arent even digging out the Christmas decorations this year. I had a 4 item sale a few days ago! I was very happy to see that. I also put in a new item for sale as well so be sure to check it out.I will try to keep this updated more. Pictured above is the "Punk princess neck cozee" the new item.

Happy Halloween!

Well technically, Halloween was yesterday, but I hope everyone had a good time yesterday anyway. I have been busy a lot recently, lots of stuff going on, so I haven't exactly been crocheting anything new. I have some stuff that should be up on ETSY soon though. Some new neckwarmers and such. I am thinking of coming up with a neat name for them but I can't seem to think of one just yet. Hmmm.... any ideas? LOL. Socks is in my lap right now demanding to be petted. Thanksgiving is just around the corner too.

My cat Socks

I love cats, they are defiantly my favorite critter. My cat is a tuxedo cat, and her name is Socks. She is fairly spoiled, ok, she is VERY spoiled. I must say that black cats are my fav. I also think Egyptian maus are beautiful too. Socks has a few fav toys, a purple mouser with a pink tail,a red mouser with a green tail and her ultimate fav, straws. Especially straws from Sonic. Maybe its the red or the length, I am not sure. But she can actually fetch straws and bring them to you. She also has a bad habit of taking straws right out of your cups! After she is done, she takes them somewhere and hides them. We have looked all over our apartment, but the straws have never been found. EVER. Here is Socks modeling her very own rainbow scarf!!! ^^

Looking at crochet patterns

Do you know what I realized today? That there aren't any patterns, for my ideas. I love horror movies, they are all I watch, and I have what I think are interesting or unique ideas for things. I have looked all over the internet and I haven't found patterns for what I am thinking of. I love zombies and I haven't found any kind of patterns except for amigurimi's. Or a knife pattern, or a blood pattern, or anything that is remotely scary. I couldn't even find a fly pattern for my Amityville idea. It's kinda frustrating, in all honesty. I have only been crocheting for 4 years, and I have written two patterns. But what i am wanting is a bit more complicated. Hopefully in time, it will happen.

Working away and watching movies

I am pretty tired right now, I just completed my first custom order, so I am happy about that. I also completed another neck warmer and am working on an orange on. I found some new pin patterns I like and I will be purchasing those on Wed along with a battery charger for the camera. YEAH!!! I am watching an Amityville marathon, as I work, kinda puts you in the Halloween spirit. That and I just like the movies. Fixing to eat some lunch, pasta salad and some biscuits.

been kicking around some new ideas

So I love horror movies, alright I LOVE horror movies, lol. I have come up with ideas for crocheted pins and neck warmers. Different designs and stuff, there is just no way to do them. I haven't been able to find any patterns for what i want to do, which kinda sucks. But it is alright, maybe one day I can find another crocheter to work with and do some patterns. I love the Amityville horror movie, I had a pretty neat idea for a neck warmer! Just based on the movie, but I don't know if it would ever happen.

I got my first custom order yesterday, so I am excited! I am also trying to decide what to be for Halloween, I am trying to decide what to be. Its between a cat and a girl Freddy Krueger. I don't know yet what I want to be. Cute or scary, its a hard decision. I am also working on some more Halloween items to be in my shop.

Icky

I would have written the past 2 days, but I have a cold, so i have been resting in bed and eating spagetthi. Don't ask me why, but when I am sick, I want spagetthi, or homemade chicken noodle soup. Drinking lots of fluids and today i go to the doctor, so yeah! hopefully I start feeling better. I go to the doctor every week, I have terrible allergies, which require shots, I am allergic to dust and ragweed and plantains. Eww..... So I have been feeling pretty icky and miserable the past few days. Also today, we have to pick up the camera charger, so you guys can see the new things i have been working on.

More neck warmers coming soon

Been working on some new neck warmers, made 2 more ones. Another Halloween one, and a multi colored scarf thats pink, white, black and grey. I also made pins to go with them. I made a rainbow one for myself with a white border. I couldnt decided on a pin, so I wont make one just yet. I will also be working on another one now, I think another multi colored one. Tomorrow we get the charger for the camera, and I am excited to show off my new work.

Working away

Been working about 2 hours on another neck warmer, its orange and will have a ghost pin. I think its cute. I have a pumpkin pin, but I haven't decided the neck warmers color just yet. I personally don't care for black, but it would be a good choice for Halloween. I just don't like black or white, I am a color person. Give me tie dye or a rainbow any day of the week. It will take me about another to completely finish the neck warmer. As soon as we get the new battery charger for the camera I will take some pictures, and also of my new crafting area.

One sale and a surpise!

Exactly one hour after I posted the candy cane neck warmers, I sold one! I was so happy! Today, James helped me turn the dining area into a crafting studio, where I could sew, and store all my crafting supplies. I would take pictures and stuff, but we lost the connecting piece to the camera, so it charges. We won't be able to replace it till Monday, and then I can put up some pictures. I also am working on some more neck warmers for ETSY!

YAY!!! So I finally got my patterns written, and they will be up on ETSY soon, so you can purchase them. I also made the neckwarmers too, and they are for sale on ETSY. I was in a Halloween mood, so they are orange, yellow, red, and white. They also have a candy corn button too! I put a Halloween countdown clock on my profile too! New blog title and a new pattern in the works

So I have a few new things going on right now, I changed the name for my blog, I also did talk to the other crocheter about that pattern, and she told me to go for it and make my own! So that is awesome! I am hopefully going to get it done by next week and then it will be up on my site to sell! The pattern and the actual neckwarmer itself. So i am excited. Right now, I am watching my daughter walking around next to my computer, she never thinks she has to sleep!She is such a grinner! She also loves to get in my yarn stash when I am not looking, and she has destroyed a few projects that weren't finished yet. So that is a few new things going on.I better go, she is streaking across the carpet!

Working on neckwarmers

So I dumped the food idea scarf for right now, and am working on, a different type of neckwarmer. I had bought a pattern from someone on ETSY, and I can't do buttons it seems, so I changed the pattern. I am hoping me and the crocheter can work together to make a pattern. I have never worked with another crocheted before, I am hoping it goes well. :)   But you never know. I actually made a halloween neckwarmer, its orange, yellow, white and red, it reminds me of candy corn. Halloween is just around the corner, so I might have to dig out the decorations soon!!!! Yeah!

A new project inspired by food? o.0

I really love food, I love to dine out and dine in. I am not too picky about food, I experiment sometimes. I have never eaten sushi, my hubby is always trying to get me to try that. But the idea of raw fish, well doesnt sound good to me. So for my love of food, I am working on a scarf right now, inspired by one of my favorite foods. I would tell you what it is, but I would rather surprise you with it! Lol, that and I kinda don't know how it will turn out just yet. I will give you a hint, it has red in it! Of course that could be a lot of things, but I would rather keep you guessing. So stay tuned, hopefully I can get it done in a few days and I will post a pic for you guys!

Projects and objects go........

Have you ever had those days, where you cant decide what to make? I was all excited to make another cowl, and now that I am about halfway done, I am like eh. I dont know what it is sometimes, honestly. One day your all excited, then the next your not. I bought several new patterns yesterday, and I was all excited to make them. I had to wait to get a skein of yarn to finish the cowl I started, cause I ran out of yarn on the first skein. I like multicolored yarn, more than plain yarn for some reason. I usually dont pay too much attention to brand, just the colors. I could honestly stand in front of a yarn rack for hours, I think. Of course, with kids and a husband in tow, that isnt a possibility! My son takes the skeins off the rack at the store, and when I get home my daughter takes the skeins out of the bag! Sometimes it takes a minute to find my yarn! :)   As you can imagine I have to replace a few crochet hooks too. Maybe a measuring tape or two, oh and stitch markers. I wonder where they go? My kids get them, then they disappear to where i dont know? Maybe one day they will show up back again!
